Description:
Based around the famous ‘Scallops’ this night workshop will look at capturing the night sky. Starting before sunset we will capture the last light of the day, followed by the night sky.
With a mix of composition and technical tips there is a good variety throughout the workshop. Being in a small group you have plenty of opportunity to ask questions.
IMPORTANT: This workshop will be postponed if the forecast is for cloud.
Who it is suitable for:
Photographers of all ability, from beginners to more advanced. From compact camera, bridge camera to DSLR (not really suitable for mobile phone photographers).
What to bring:
Camera - Spare battery can be useful when using your camera all day.
Lenses - Wide angle lenses are best for photographing the night sky.
Tripod - If you have one, some are available to borrow if needed.
Cable release - Not essential, but useful if you have one.
Filters - Not essential, but useful if you have them.
Torch - essential to find your camera controls in the dark.
What to wear:
Sturdy footwear is advisable. As is waterproof coat/trousers. Wrap up warm as it will likely drop cold.
Refreshments:
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
Toilets:
There are public toilets available which close at 8:00pm.
Not included:
Personal insurance, camera insurance and travel (to, from or during the workshop).
