Phil chooses to shoot the majority of his landscape images on film, rather than digital, and uses a medium format camera. He now predominantly shoots Black & White, which he processes and prints in his own darkroom.
"Life is lived at a manic pace so it's nice to stop, slow down and immerse yourself in the landscape. Only getting 12 shots on a roll of film really makes me think about the image and small composition changes can make a huge difference to the final photo."
